Frequently Asked Questions

Hypnotic Tattooing™ is a unique ceremonial experience created by Yaël Lhoir.
The experience combines ritual tattooing with Ericksonian hypnosis.
Rather than simply receiving a tattoo, you enter a guided hypnotic state where the sensation of tattooing becomes a doorway into the subconscious.
Each ritual is created around your personal intention, allowing emotional release, new perspectives, and profound inner transformation.
-
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention that everyone experiences in everyday life.
You remain aware throughout the experience and cannot be made to do anything against your will.
The more you allow yourself to relax and trust the process, the deeper the experience can become.
-
Not at all.
You remain conscious and in control the entire time.
You can speak, ask questions, pause the session, or stop whenever you wish.
-
No. Hypnotic Tattooing™ is not psychotherapy or medical treatment and should not replace professional healthcare.
It is a ceremonial and transformative experience designed to support personal growth, self-discovery, and inner exploration.
-
Each ritual begins with a conversation to clarify your intention and for me to identify the subconscious beliefs that hold you back from the life or identity you are calling in.
From there, we choose together the design and placement that will serve your intention the best. I will not “channel” your tattoo. I will never tattoo anything on you that you didn´t consciously agree upon before the ritual.
When we are both ready with a full yes, we start the tattoo ritual with guided hypnosis, breathwork and energy work, woven together in a way that responds to you in the present moment.
We complete the ritual with a time of integration, a chat, a hug, a tea or a cacao. Silence and meditation are also welcome. We honor what is present on the moment.
-
No.
Some people arrive with a clear design, while others only have an intention or feeling they wish to embody.
We explore this together before the ritual, and the final design naturally emerges from the process.
-
Yes.
Every tattoo is created specifically for the person receiving it. I stay in my aesthetics, I do not reproduce other artists' work or copy existing tattoos.
-
My work is ancient, feminine, tribal and witchy. Moon, stars, ankh, snakes, dotwork… Inspired by ancient traditions, and personal archetypes. I tattoo mostly handpoke.
-
The experience is different for everyone.
Many people describe handpoke as gentler, more meditative, and easier to relax into because the sensation is slower and more rhythmic.
Within the ritual, the sensation itself becomes part of the hypnotic process.
-
The duration depends on the tattoo and the journey itself.
Most rituals last between 3 and 6 hours, while deeper ceremonial experiences may take a full day.
-
Pricing depends on the size of the tattoo and the depth of the experience.
Small Ritual — from €400
Medium Ritual — from €600
Large Ritual — from €800
Deep Dive Full Day Ceremony — €1111
